The rental process started out great. the management company was exceedingly friendly, accommodating and responsive. It is my understanding that the original company merged with another. How unfortunate. I was met with rude, unresponsive, accusatory customer service. Unfortunately one person can ruin an experience. There are serious issues with the codes for these properties--to the point that it would be comical if not so bad. The code to drive into the community did not work. The codes for the gates to walk in and out of the property did not work. The code or the gate to get to the beach did not work. The codes for the doors to the houses worked, then didn't work. Even after being threatened for going in the wrong house the first night (because the code we were given worked on the wrong house) and told we had 15 minutes to go in and get our stuff out, the cod still didn't work. We had to call the management company so many times it was ridiculous. The houses were in pretty good shape otherwise. The could be stocked slightly better--broken can opener in one/no can opener in the other. One house had a significant leak in the garage that we discovered toward the end of our stay. We tried to convey this information to the property management company, but they did not return our calls. We had to leave early due to Covid-19. We called the management company. They never returned our calls. I understand they may have be receiving numerous calls, but we left before it got bad, yet they did not call. We just received this survey.Very disappointed in the end experience, given how pleasant the originating experience was. I would recommend the properties to a friend, even though they are not on the beach, the private beach access is nice--and less crowded. However, I absolutely recommend that someone should ensure the codes are correct and be prepared for hit or miss with good customer service from the property management company.
