「Fabulous location. A lot of renovation work is being carried out but it didn’t affect any of the comforts of our three night stay. 」

「Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.」

「Food was cooked to order and every meal was so good. There was plenty of choice and there was no problem when I asked for salad instead of chips. The plates were full of good tasty food. The bed was so comfortable that we slept through the nights.」

「The rooms were very nicely decorated and beds comfy. Staff very friendly. Breakfast and evening meal very nice. Spacious car park. Easy to walk straight out onto the hills. My only suggesting is that without a ‘boot room’ the stair carpet and landing carpet is a bit grubby ( presumably from muddy boots and wet paws) and needs to be carpet cleaned weekly! 」

「The breakfast was superb. We tried the evening menu special which was a Pheasant breast.It wasn't the best I've tasted, it was nicely presented but it was rather salty and dry. The bed mattress provided a good nights sleep and the room was spacious and clean. Well worth the 5 stars」

「I had a lovely stay at The Three Shires Inn which is in the lovely, quiet spot in the middle of the countryside. Loved seeing the mountains and sheep. I would highly recommend.」
