“Clean rooms, Self parking was very easy. Could have improved on a breakfast like other hotels serving hot breakfast. Here everything is frozen and we need to reheat it.”

“Nice setting. Just be aware if you get one of the double bed rooms the sleeping area is very small. It’s an older motel, and the walls are thin. On the plus side, the property is well maintained and right on the lake. The fire pit is great. Other rooms may be bigger, and they offer glamping. Coffee and muffins in the morning are good. If you want a bigger breakfast you will have to go elsewhere.”

“Computers were down when we arrived, so check-in took 30 minutes. Room had a drain in the floor which smelled of feces. Shower floor was cracked. All in all it was ok, but not deserving of the high rating it had.”

“Overpriced and under-whelming. The room was comfortable but very small given the nightly rate. Breakfast was only a selection of bagels with a choice of fillings (I had the salmon bagel which was good but, again, under-whelming given this is supposed to be a luxury hotel. We will not stay there again nor recommend it.”

“Close proximity in the heart of downtown was a plus. The illusion of them having an operating restaurant and bar on line was completely misleading as it was non operational. Staff was inconsistent with information and lacked professionalism. Overall, the hotel felt like it was operating on a very lean budget. However, the room was very clean with very a nice bathroom.”

“Very convenient location. Easy walk to Watkins Glen State Park (a must see!) Brian (owner) was friendly, welcoming and engaging. Rooms were comfortable and breakfast (many locally sourced products) was delicious Would highly recommend!”

“Rating: 2.5–3 stars This property sits in an absolutely beautiful location with stunning views of the lake and the hills to the west. The sunsets are truly incredible, and the overall atmosphere is quiet and peaceful. The front yard has a lot of charm and potential, though the grass was noticeably overgrown during my stay. The experience itself was unusual. I was greeted briefly by someone who handed me the key, but after that I didn’t see a single staff member, and there’s no real reception……

“The room was very clean. The bed was made before we got back to our room. The bathroom was clean. Be careful in the parking lot, you may roll into the lake. Basically, it’s all in the name!”
