“Appalling customer service! We had planned a short break to visit friends in Filey at the beginning of August 2026 and made a reservation almost 6 weeks ago. Unfortunately, a family member was rushed into hospital just before the planned weekend and we had to cancel our trip. I wrote to the hotel via the Hotel.com messaging facility with apologies for the cancellation and enquired if they were prepared to provide us with a credit for a stay in the near future. We heard nothing from the hotel, so……

“Alles perfekt und sehr schönes Zimmer.”

“Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. Breakfast is very good. ”

“The cottage is beautiful, lovely and clean and the beds were very comfy. Plenty of space for 5 of us plus a dog. The hot tub was fantastic and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They were all very friendly and helpful. Great location and good food at the restaurant. We will definitely be back very soon”
