“This property is described as “Luxury” on Expedia. I’m not sure who came up with that description, but it is very much at the other end of the luxury scale. Granted, the building is old, but having read the description, we were looking forward to a high-spec, luxury boutique B&B with parking. Unfortunately, the reality was a world away from the impressive sales pitch. The parking is not private, as implied by the Expedia description, but public parking in the nearby square. “Great stay for what I needed”

“The host was very friendly, but under the influence. I really wanted to like this BnB as it looked so nice and querky on the pictures. I booked a room that was meant to have a private bathroom, but in fact it was just a toilet in a wardrobe and no "designer toiletries" the bed was not comfortable at all, but at least the bedsheets and the towels were clean. The rest of the house was dirty and smelled of very old and accumulated cigarettes smoke a d weed, it was quite revolting. There was only……

“Such a great place to stay! Elsbeth and Richard are so dedicated to their property and make it an unforgettable experience. The property is so well kept and their customer service is simply the best.”

“A beautiful property, very clean and well situated. Secure parking and easy access to Richmond. A true welcome and good value for money. Highly recommended.”

“Great stay. Lovely clean rooms with great views. Very nice breakfast and friendly and helpful host. And pub with good food (and prices) just a stone's throw away. Would highly recommend.”

“On the plus side, the bathroom was very clean. On the downside, there was no hot water in the shower. There was no alarm clock, or any clock, anywhere. There were no kleenex. The ceiling in the bedroom had water damage. The "hotel" had no staff. There was a number to call with questions, but nobody answered. Breakfast had to be ordered at booking, but they didn't tell you that at booking, but you could only book breakfast at a time no one else booked. Overall, not very welcoming -- when……

“Friendly hosts. Delicious freshly cooked breakfast with plenty of choice. Comfortable rooms. Ideal location within walking distance to local pubs/eateries.”

“Could not fault it! We stayed in the orient room and were very impressed, the hot tub is nice and private also.”

“Had a fabulous stay here at the Hebden Townhouse . Lovely room and great breakfast . The staff were very helpful and friendly . Looking forward to staying again soon”

“We just stayed one nught for a weekend event in Clitheroe and it was perfect! The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Loads of free onsight parking and staff very helpful. We ate an evening meal and breakfast and everything was really nice. The only think that would have topped it off would be a bar open in the evening. Would definately stay again and recommend.”
