“Room was large and clean with a bath and shower. The hotel is in a beautiful village next to the river and many lovely walks. Evening meal was excellent, as was breakfast. All the staff were great with Naomi going above and beyond.”

“Great location, plenty off on road parking, staff very friendly, rooms clean, tea & coffee facilities and lots of pubs all within walking distance. ”

“The room was clean and warm, as was the bathroom. The staff were very helpful. However, the bed was quite uncomfortable. The springs made noise and pressed into my back whenever I moved.”

“Parking is good we didn’t have a drink in the bar. We have stayed here many times over the years but it has gone downhill. Poor maintenance in the bathroom… no hot water for a shower or a wash! Went to breakfast and was told we had to be finished within half an hour… people on the next table… the waitress actually asked them to leave!! My husband complained at reception but they just said ok I’ll let them no… with no apology. Also check in not very welcoming! Also they have spoilt the……

The food was amazing all top quality and the room was incredible, double walk in shower and stand alone bath. Just what was needed after a fab day walking Pendle top!! We will defo be back”

“The room was clean, comfortable and well maintained with good decor. The bathroom had a powerful shower and enough room around the basin for your wash bags. Lighting in the bathroom is always an issue for me (!) so as usual I had my mirror on the window sill in search of natural light. We ate in the pub on the first night, sharing a platter. Good menu. My partner sampled the local beer and was pleased he did. Although a full breakfast was on offer we just had a yoghurt & some toast. The toast……

“Convenient location at M62 service station, perfect for anyone wanting to rest on a long journey. Extremely competitive price, comfortable room. Not actually that easy to pop into Brighouse, should that be required ”
