"Overall we really enjoyed our stay at the SkyView cottage! The pictures don't do the interior justice for how nice and cute the space is. Check in and out were super easy. It was clean as well as the perfect size and price for what we were looking for. The only knock I would give it is that there was not as much solitude as expected. The neighbors are quite close and the property is next to a main road. I don't blame the neighbors for this, but they were more in a party mode and we were more in the relax and quiet mode. Again, not a major issue by any means, they were respectful of the quiet hours and all that. I would just want people to know that it is close to a number of other houses and the road. If we are ever traveling back to the area we will strongly consider coming back to the cottage!"

"Perfect getaway for our party of 8, including 4 teen boys. We enjoyed 2 rounds of golf, the ropes course, and dinner at Skytop lodge- less then a half mile away. The cottage was spacious, clean, and well appointed. We enjoyed lots of time around the large dining table and appreciated all the seating. We can’t wait to go back! "

"This was our third stay at Magnolia, the staff at the front desk is very friendly and helpful. The stream is beautiful and they just opened a restaurant. The food was really good. My only complaint is a cleanliness. I would suggest that they do some quality control around the cleanliness because the lodge was not clean. The floor was extremely dirty. There was some hair in the top. I didn’t feel comfortable using the kitchen because it was not clean.. just something to focus on moving forward. We had a great time though and enjoyed our stay, we love that we can take our dog! "

"The grandkids really enjoyed the pool and the game room. The downside was that the house is very dated and needed a good deep clean. The ceiling leaked outside of the game room from a rain storm and part of the ceiling fell. The kitchen is small and needs more organizing as was hard to find the small things like veg peeler, can opener and a bowl big enough to hold a Mac salad. They did supply enough cleaning tabs for dish washer , paper towels and garbage bags. The beds all need updating. The double bed you could feel the frame while lying and one of the queen’s mattress was falling through frame by the next morningThe ping pong table actually fell apart twice not even doing anything other than walking around the pool table. The movie theater was fun and the kids enjoyed a movie night "

"We booked this bed and breakfast for a weekend marriage conference. Before arriving we were called and told that they had to move our room to the carriage house due to a septic issue with the main manor. The carriage house is a smaller building on the property. Upon arriving it felt a bit run down overall. We entered our room on the second floor of the carriage house. It was small but quaint and what we needed. We had some difficulties with the heat the first night. We woke up freezing so we turned on our in room electric fireplace and then it was overly hot. Unfortunately there was no thermostat or way to control the temp in our room. The towels provided were very small, the shower head in the shower was somewhat broken and kept aiming the water at our feet when showering. The radiators heat made a ton of loud banging sounds at night that woke us up both nights. Most disappointing is that there is no one on staff to greet you, and the freshly made breakfast we thought we would be getting at a bed and breakfast was a self serve bar in the main house with yogurt, prepackaged cakes and bagels, bananas that were not ripe, cereal cups with milk and a fridge with microwaveable breakfast items that were frozen from jimmy deans. It left much to be desired. It sounds like it used to be much better with the previous owners. I would recommend looking into another bed and breakfast in the area even if it is a bit more expensive as you will get a better experience as we paid to go out to"

"The house was a perfect place for us to stay with spacious bedrooms and king beds, and we also enjoyed all that the Skytop resort has to offer. We would gladly come back!"
