“What’s gem. Absolutely adorable “bunkhouse”. Came equipped with everything we needed. Clean comfortable. Loved the screened in porch. We watched a storm roll in as we sat in the dry and airy space. The paddle boards were so much fun. We carried them across the road to access the lake. Dennis&Sheila are friendly helpful hosts. I highly recommend. ”

“We loved our stay at the cabin. Our baby adored the swing-set in the yard and the house had all of the comforts of home while still feeling rustic and like we were in the woods (exactly the vibe we hoped for). The golf cart was super fun and Beach 5 was close by and possibly the best beach on the island. The house was nicer than the photos. Carol was very responsive and helped us troubleshoot an issue. We love Frye Island and we will be back!”

“Please listen closely!! If you pass this place up, I truly feel sorry for you. I am on a first time adventure to Maine from Indiana and this is my FAVORITE place stay of ALL TIME. I wish I had done my homework and planned more time at Desert of Maine. Our cabin was cozy after a nice evening by the fire. Loved the shower!! “Spacious private cabin with a quick walk to the unbelievably clean and clear lake (with loons!) They have outside games picnic tables and chairs but we enjoyed most of the time floating on the provided tubes. You could not ask for a better host who went above and beyond to make sure everyone was having a great time. Peaceful and relaxing !”

“This is our 2nd year renting from Kerri and Matt. The location is close to the center and walking distance to the beach. There is a bit of a hill from the center to the cabin which helped burn off our Ben and Jerry ice cream calories! The amenities are great, comfortable furniture and beds. Nice balcony off the upstairs bedroom. 1st year we fired up the fire pit for some smores! Can't say enough about the hosts thinking of everything and quick responses to our messages. We give it 5 stars……
