「Room was a bit dated, in need of a paint brush as much of the woodwork was peeling. Bathroom was adequate with a shower over the bath and quite a high step getting in and out. Toilet made an awful noise through the plumbing, and a previous occupiers bar of soap left on floor of electric radiator. Bed was comfortable and the room warm. 「Beautiful building and grounds. The staff were fantastic and very welcoming. The hotel is very dog friendly. We had a room with a door to a private patio and access to the gardens. Our wee dog absolutely loved it. The gym is ok for a hotel, with a decent amount of weights and a few cardio machines. The highlight had to be the incredible food we had for dinner. 「The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was 1st rate - having been upgraded to an executive room! The general feelfid not come over as a 4* establishment eg Staff attire was very casual and at times slovenly.」
