"This is a lovely apartment. It’s spacious and welcoming and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. It’s in a quiet location really close to all the shops and a supermarket. It is very expensive in relation to other parts of Iceland though. We stayed in five apartments during our trip and this apartment was twice the price of all other - and it had the least well-appointed kitchen! Very expensive for what it was. The kitchen was missing some key things that are essential to a kitchen: no serving spoons to dish up; there was nothing to use to things out of the oven; no small bowls to eat cereal from; not enough cooking utensils. You also need to run the hot water for a very long time to get hot water - about 8-9 minutes. The seal around the dishwasher is also loose so if you don’t place it correctly water leaks all over the floor! This apartment is fine to stay in but it’s not as nice as any of the others we stayed in and doesn’t feel as homely. It was also phenomenally hot - the heating was on so high we had to have the windows open all evening! Also note that some apartments are on the first floor with no lift so ground floor ones have easier access for carrying suitcases."
