「The staff was very polite and helpful, this was the best part of the hotel. The photos showed a hot tub, but that was filled with concrete, false advertisement. Room had a musty smell, floors were sticky. We asked for a rollout bed and they supplied that, it had previously old sheets and garments on it. I would not recommend this hotel to friends or family. Again, the staff was the best part of this hotel.」

「The first time I was disappointed in a Hampton Inn. The staff was great but …. Dirty linens were laying in the hallway. Two guests asked for different rooms because of an odor in the room.」

「It’s was freezing and the coffee and breakfast were awful」

「Things were all older and dated, but everything was clean. Bedsheets were so old they were nubby. Bathroom was fine with very soft water. Included breakfast was marginal, with pop tarts and weak coffee. It was interesting having a busy bar in the midst of the building, adding character. It is also a gathering place for both Harley bikers and golfers for the adjacent course; quite a contrast. It's the only place around, so if we go to another concert in Mt.Carroll, we'll probably stay again.」

「Love the place, especially the bar that was connected to it great atmosphere wonderful people nice breakfast very clean. Highly recommend going back to Galena again and staying at the Irish Cottage Inn.」

「Needs updating. The rooms rug was torn, couldn’t use the TV. Couldn’t even watch the morning news. The air conditioner was loud and couldn’t find a switch or way to turn on lights by the nightstand.」

「Absolute amazing weekend with my husband away from everything to celebrate our anniversary. The staff was amazing, so friendly. The room was beautiful, the view was amazing, the food was to die for at the restaurant downstairs. Could not have asked for a better place to enjoy with my husband. Will definitely be back!!」
