「Where do I start? I guess first, the location, at the very north of Skye. Peaceful, serene, evenings with nary a sound but the sheep bleating in the distance. Second, the lovely Lorraine, who left us a hand written note on our arrival and baked us shortbread cookies to start our full day on Skye (during which my daughter became engaged at Neist Point). Third, the lovely remodeled Croft house, perfectly appointed and perfect for our every need. A truly exceptional experience for us in every way....

「If only the owners would listen to the customer feedback from previous guests! All the same niggling issues stop this from getting g a 5 star rating. Dirty pots and pans, a central heating system that needed to be rebooted constantly, poor level of cleaning generally, all have been commented on by previous guests!」

「We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. 」

「We absolutely loved our visit to this lovely cottage. There was nothing lacking in terms of our comfort. All of the amenities were in place and it was so easy to become comfortable very quickly. The sheep on the property were simply darling and it was so fun to watch the lambs play, jump and run (within their fenced area) over our meals from the dining room. 「We had the best week in Scotland and will definitely return. The location of the property is fabulous. The scenery and wildlife were amazing. The Pine Martens came every night for the jam butties and eggs we put out for them. We even saw a Golden Eagle flying overhead. Walk down the path towards the Castle and there are seals on the rocks. Paula could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Sorry we could only stay for a week .」
