“Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just……

“The Ettington Park hotel is an extraordinary English Family Castle with a great & long history. Our stay in this hotel was extremely comfortable and relaxed. Despite belated arrival at night, we were all welcomed by their staff with thoughfully arranged dinner & wine & porter services of many bulk luggage. “The room was big and the bed comfy, with the staff friendly, however having just reopened it is in need of some work. One wall mounted socket (head height) for a TV coffee machine and a kettle, with the kettle cord not reaching the plug was not good. The amenities were lacking in the shower, and there was rust on the frame holding the wash hand basin in the bathroom. All of which was disappointing. Also £20 for breakfast was a bit steep!”

“Lovely Staff and potential is all im going to say but unfortunately was a bit disappointed actually and I dont like to writ bad reviews but was really unimpressed with the cost. Firstly arrived staff very nice gave room key, room turns out to be the furthest as possible away from reception. Not a problem just an interesting observation. “Arriving in the charming village and then pulling up to Buckland Manor was a dream! Every detail has been seen to with lovely staff, well furnished rooms, gorgeous peaceful grounds. We could pop on many walking paths right from the door and roam the countryside. One wouldn't need to leave this property for days with every need met beautifully. Exquisite!”
