「More difficult to get to since hwy. 58 closed at Damascus. Pretty drive taking the long way. Too bad the Virginia creeper trail closed, I was able to go down until the first washed out bridge at green cove. Enjoyed the quiet stay.」

「Everything was great! We never did manage to ride our bikes all the way up Vails Mill Rd., but was able to ride once we got closer to the top. Proximity to Creeper Trail was a bonus. The trip from Abingdon to Damascus is an awesome ride or just the ride to Alvarado Station and back is great. Ride in to town, look and shop and come back to the cabin and grill burgers. 「This little place was perfect for my husband and myself for a couple days when we needed to be in the area. We worked during the day but loved coming back to the house in the evenings and sitting on the porch listening to the birds, watching the shadow rise over the mountain as the sun went down and watching the fireflies come out. It was simple but perfect. 」
