“Casino wasn’t too crowded but did have some construction going on, rooms could use some updating starting to show some wear and tear but we’re all very clean. Late night food/snacks options would have been cool or a microwave in the rooms, but the two restaurants we ate at were amazing.”

“If you are looking to stay in an older Historic hotel with a great view give this one a try. The rooms are nicely finished and have as many modern amenities as one would expect. Your own private balcony is a real plus with views of the Ohio river and down town Madison. Walking to either is easy from this location as well if you so desire. “The staff went above and beyond to help us. They made the extra effort to make our stay special. The view was spectacular and the room was comfortable and quiet. I would definitely recommend staying there.”

“Room was very clean and comfortable”

“The room was dirty, there was dried dog poop on the floor when checking in the staff told us to check the pluming because they had issues in that room earlier, like that’s your job before I get there to double check the pluming not mine.”

“Didn't even turn on the TV because it was so peaceful and could only imagine the different types of people that has stayed there over the years.”

“Not exceptional, just average.”

“Great location! Cozy and comfortable. We would definitely stay again.”

“The host was extremely nice and allowed us to get into the loft a little early. The loft was really nice and we enjoyed out stay. ”

“Very close to downtown restaurants and shopping. The trails out back were nice and relaxing to walk on. The property was quiet and relaxing. Perfect size for my wife and I and our 12 pound dog. The dog loved the trails and kept us busy on his walks.”

“The place was beautiful and well kept. Reasonably remote, you'll hear some lawnmowers but you won't see a neighbor unless you're actively trying to. Saw a lot of wildlife, rabbits, deer, butterflies. Electric, AC and gas were reliable and worked great. Wood stove looked so cozy, almost wish we didn't come during a heat wave so we could have enjoyed it. Wifi is spotty, so don't forget your LotR box set like I did, but to me thats more of a bonus amenity then a requirement for a remote……
