「This hotel is a magical oasis on Playa Shalpa, a beautiful and secluded black-sand beach. The hotel has a lovely pool that my family and I loved swimming in every day. The staff was kind and accommodating. The food was excellent. We did not want to leave. We miss waking up every morning to hearing the waves.」

「Property is absolutely gorgeous. Great for adult family of 6. Private beach, great security getting into and while on property. AC, hot water, super clean, outdoor shower with pool, hammocks, what else can you ask for! We loved this place. Stella, our host, was a great communicator and helped us on a number of occasions. We did not have a rental car. Used private drivers, Ubers and local buses and we were fine. Thank you Stella!」

「Staff couldn’t have been nicer - must have been 25 people working there. Photos were pretty accurate, it is a collection of surf shacks, and bathrooms in each reflect that (low pressure, limited hot water if any), but I would stay there again for sure. Do not expect to be able to walk onto the beach, smooth rocks, but all rocks - could put your feet in with water shoes. The pools and environment are great, and breakfast is included. Hard to beat that. Overall the staff won me over - low budget...

「Check in was easy and quick. Property is beautiful and very aesthetic, food was a little on the higher price side compared to prices in El Salvador. The pool looked nice. HOWEVER, my understanding was the resort was on the beach and it was not. That was kind of disappointing. At check out they make you wait until they check the room, that was a little annoying since I had to run to an appointment an hour away.」

「I loved this place! It is beach front, the deck is huge and amazing with great views of the ocean, pool is nice with a great bar. The unit is very nicely decorated, clean, spacious and had (almost) everytying i needed.The only problem was that the washter and dryer were not working (we really needed it). Also there is a weird 3" step at the entrance and I kept tripping on it, and one person in our group actually fell hard because of it. That step should have a warning or paint or something to...
