“A last minute booking at this small out of the way historic inn. It was busy at the bar where we checked in so a short wait. Room was basic but well appointed, bed super comfy, shower was hot, tea and coffee in room. Self serve continental breakfast in a dining room was great. Food in the restaurant was amazing and beautifully presented. Set in a small town with adjoining farmland. Close the Hampton Court Castle and gardens.”

“We had the hayloft that could sleep 3 but was a win for us as a couple. It was in a out building, with easy access to the garden, bar and dining areas, but was a bit difficult to get suitcases over the gravel pathway. Very quiet, lots of space and windows to open. The restaurant meal and breakfast was fabulous.”

“Stayed overnight whilst spending a few days fishing on the local river. A warm welcome on arrival and a nice little clean room with everything I needed (comfy bed, warm shower, tv etc). Breakfast was freshly cooked and very good value at £9.85. Beer was also very good and a great selection. Staff were really friendly and happy to have a natter. Look forward to returning next year!”

“Ten out of ten for an amazing stay! We were two couples with eight kids and we had an awesome time! Beautiful cottage, spacious and clean. The hot tub was amazing and the house is totally secluded from any other property which was a big plus for us adding to a real holiday feel! Thank you Jane for a beautiful time had by all!”

“We enjoyed everything about our stay at Uplands. The thoughtful, detailed, quality touches throughout - from the fabrics, furniture and pillows in the room, to the delicious home made breakfast compotes and locally sourced fresh produce, Kiel and Stuart have created a gem here. Not to mention the beauty and character of the stone farmhouse itself, which has been sympathetically renovated throughout. What a treat. “A comfortable and enjoyable stay. Room was clean comfortably and so cosy! We were made to feel so welcomed and they kindly accommodated a veggie breakfast for us. The breakfast was lovely with fresh foods and lots of local produce to choose from. We even got a tour of the place! Would highly recommend a stay here. ”
