“This is a unique old in. It is warm, cozy & full of rustic charm! The community area has low ceilings with old rough hewn beams & a fireplace that is burning all day.It never feels hot just comforting. Old portraits, interesting furniture and antiques.An unexpected feature is 1970’s vinyl, also interesting books. Our bunk house room had a record player with albums including Carol King’s Tapestry. The retro undertone added a pleasant vibe without being kitschy. Our room in the Bunkhouse was……

“I absolutely loved my stay at Sanford House. I went for the Spain Portugal World Cup game at the Dallas Stadium, and I’m so glad I found this gem. The hotel is only 15 min walk to the stadium, which save time and money on transportation. And the hotel has a lovely free shuttle to and from the stadium if you don’t want to walk. You can request it anytime you want. The rooms are individually decorated and themed with famous composers. My room The Brahms was spacious and gorgeous. The windows……

“This outstanding Inn is a wonderful place! Restored to the charm of a 1900s Inn was modern bathrooms, excellent air conditioning, and modern conveniences (Wi-Fi/TVs). The staff is world class and makes you feel at home. A very restful place for a fully staffed self service, complementary kitchenette for all to share. We will highly recommend this end to all our friends and definitely will stay here again when we’re in the area. In fact, it’s worth a special trip just to stay here at least once……

“This was a cute room in a great location. Pros: private, comfortable bed, large room, cute decor. Cons: Musty smell, no fan, no ability to put the AC under 72, no warning that we would be on the third floor with a non-working elevator, no onsite staff, minimal cleaning (new towels & garbage removal only). No coffee or ice machine. Plus you have to walk in and out through a literal bar. I will still probably go back, but arrange to have a fan and make sure I wasn’t on the third floor. But……

“This was the oldest inn I have ever stayed in. The tilted floors, the detailed wood trim, and the overall charm made our stay one to remember.”

“They are trying to renovate an old Victorian house, but really do not seem to have any experience with hotels or B&B's. The room we had was painted poorly with messy paint lines at the trim and paint drips on the floor. The caulking in the shower was comically bad. The shower was quite small. We waiting several minutes for the hot water in the shower and eventually took two back to back cold showers . There was no table or dresser to put our stuff on, so we had everything on the floor. No……

“Room was freezing and in need of a simple chair. There were pleny downstairs but not in the room. You need a chair to dress and put shoes on. Also when you finish riding you don’t want to sit on the bed. Also kitchen needed a drying rack paper towels or dish cloths. Beds were comfortable and location great. View of falls wonderful. Does the tv work downstairs?”
