"We needed a quick overnight stay while visiting our daughter at nearby Culver. At only 10-11 minutes from the academy, the location was very convenient. This above-the-garage apartment is beautifully appointed, clean, and comfortable. It had everything we needed plus more. The owners were really sweet and responsive. My only suggestion would be to send check-in information through the VRBO app in addition to the text that is sent, as that text to me got lost in the airwaves :) so I was clueless on check-in procedures and access to the rental when we arrived. This was rectified pretty immediately, however, so it all worked out. In summary, I would highly recommend this beautiful, serene property as we enjoyed our stay! Thank you!"

"The hotel has been renovated so it’s in great shape in comparison to the other hotels around. The pool needs to be updated though. It looks old and dirty. The staff is very friendly, the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast is very good, pancakes, toast, bagels, eggs, sausages, coffee, juice, fruit…will stay again! "

"The property is the gem here. Beautiful grounds that I walked every morning. Gorgeous river setting. I sat on the tree swing everyday reading and listening to the many birds and the wind in the trees. So peaceful and relaxing. It’s a quick drive into Culver for nearby restaurants and groceries. Lovely to drive the back roads. The house is dated as expected but very clean and comfortable beds. The weather was super hot and humid but the AC kept us cool. The shower is nice but, as the listing points out, there is only one bathroom downstairs off the kitchen. The bedrooms are upstairs. That could be a problem for some people. We were fine with it. Very comfortable couch to relax on at the end of the day. We enjoyed our stay. We had quick and easy interactions with the property owner. No problems. "
"Wasn’t looking for wonderful digs, but a place to sleep after a funeral on a day with an exteme heat warning. First room A/C wasn’t really doing anything after an hour. Innkeeper offered another room, much better. Not much in room, no soap, no Kleenex. Tub hardware painted? Medium/adequate clean. "
