"Good size room and very clean. Bath facilities were great."

"What an incredible stay for us. First time to a ryokan (i.e., traditional Japanese inn w/ onsen). What an experience! Hotel is somewhat confusing to navigate, but that is part of the adventure. The public onsen was incredible (note: they swap the male and female sides, so pay ATTENTION!). The room we stayed in was "traditional" in that we had five futons atop tatami. Haven't selpt that well in a long time! The in-room onsen was a bit old school (basically a deep tub), but still oh so magical....

"The best hospitality"

"Great staff, amenities, good food, nice view of Mt Fuji. Very high end hotel, worth the price and would visit again. "

"温泉が近くにあるのはいい。普通の旅館にあるテレビや冷蔵庫が無い。共同トイレ、共同シャワーは人によって捉え方は違うが清潔でした。 近隣にある旅館より宿泊費が安いので、素泊まり目的なら問題ありません。"

"楽しいひとときを、ありがとう! また、行きます!"

"Very authentic and beautiful. Drink pairing at dinner added to the fun."

"Very nice accommodation and I enjoyed so much the hot spring inside the room ! "

"Fantastic traditional feel onsen hotel, with both public and private onsen baths, comfortable western rooms, public spaces and amenities (robes, refreshments, late night complimentary ramen, etc. Near scenic river run , quaint shops and restaurants, shrines, temples and bamboo groves, all within walking distance. Amazing breakfast buffet, well worth the upgrade."

"Wonderful place to stay and visit. Food is so Good and staff were all accomodating and helpful."

"We saw Mount Fuji early in the morning and it was breathtaking! Breakfast overlooking the forest behind the property was delicious and so beautiful. The onsen in our room was wonderful! Hotel staff were so welcoming and helpful! The shuttle bus from the station to the hotel made getting around Shuzenji accessible."

"Great place to get away and shut down all of your electronics. Wonderful food and staff."

"Fabulous hotel! Staff were so welcoming and helpful. The property is very well maintained and comfortable. Would highly recommend!"

"Quaint ryokan, clean and good amenities. No dinner but breakfast was delicious!"

"it was a great stay."

"Nice location and cosy hotel but the food was terrible; cold, bland and low quality."

"Fantastic hotel with many onsens. Very clean, drinks and snacks included"

"My family of 3 stayed two nights at Hinodeya and it was a wonderful experience all around! This was our first visit to the Izu-Penninsula and we had such a great time. The owner and staff were so kind and accommodating, truly good spirits in this generational owned ryokan. The baths were very relaxing, the entire place was very clean and good spirits all around. If you’re looking for a family run experience vs. a corporate hotel, I highly suggest staying. Also, their massage chair is...
