Only a couple of minor things really , the shower head kept dipping down so was a bit of pain when you were shampooing etc . Bit noisy at night time but obviously the very nice owners can’t help that .”

They had ideas and suggestions of where to go and what to do and very much gave a homely feeling to our stay. The breakfast was delicious. They made a full English breakfast both days to order whilst also having a selection of different cereals, fruits and pastries. “Staff ..ist class..location excellent..as the hotel is on a slight hill.just take your time walking from the harbour side..if u are struggling to walk asked the owner if u can have a lower floor.nothing is to much for him..very helpful..I would stay again.Note the 22 bus from Paignton stops right outside the hotel..”

“This is the second stay at The Grand. The staff are friendly, helpful and professional. We were bed and breakfast , the bed was very comfortable, the room was a decent size and the breakfast was very good. Although the room was clean the main window needs attention as putty is missing which makes it drafty and also it needs painting. The flat roof outside is an eyesore. We found the wifi poor and the size of the tv too small for the size of the room. A big positive for us is the location of the……

“The room was lovely, and the breakfast was great. I especially loved the yogurt muesli—it was fantastic! Raj and Manju were always kind and welcoming. They even drove me to the train station, which I really appreciated. I would definitely stay there again if I travel to Torquay in the future.”

“Nice, cheap clean place to stay. It's very basic but thats all we were after. If we were to stay in Torquay again, we would probably stay in the same hotel. Although be aware there are no plug sockets near the beds”
