“Beautiful location. Cozy cabin. Bathroom very small. Bedroom also very small be we hung out in living room or outside so not a big deal. Quiet and peaceful. Couldn't find a microwavable container with a lid or a ladle but we made do. Definitely a very nice place.”

“We loved our stay on Trout Lake! Check in was easy and as described. The kitchen was well-stocked and nicely set up for meal prep for our group of 7. We enjoyed the bi-level deck with a large table and chairs for 6 on both levels. The inside common area was plenty spacious for the one rainy day we needed to be indoors. “We had such a lovely stay at Gatehouse 2! The unit was clean, comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our meals outside on the deck with a table that could seat all of our family of 8 easily while catching beautiful views of the river! While we were nervous that this unit seemed to be a shared house (duplex), it was quiet and we had our own space with plenty of privacy. “This stay was a homecoming for me, since my parents had lived right on the St. Lawrence, and nearly the entirety of my late mom's family still live nearby. The area is largely agricultural, with many dairy farms and green pastures. It is a truly beautiful part of NY State and we were very much looking forward to getting back there to visit.
