The Royal Park Hotel Maihama Resort Tokyo Bay

10/10 Excellent

"The room we had was spacious with room to set aside our luggage and still move around comfortably without bumping into one another. Room was clean and complimentary toiletries in case you may need them. Bathroom was clean and modern with shower easy to get in and out. Enjoyed the onsite laundry located on the second floor which did not require detergent as it already auto dispensed; no coins required as it allowed using digital transactions. Please be aware that no eating is allowed in the lobby area, which you may be tempted to do since there is a small convenience store on the first floor. Also, enjoyed the shuttle service to and from the Disney parks and subway station. Recommend checking in a day before you plan to visit the park as there is no early check in or be prepared to leave your luggage and come back when it is time to check in to your room. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety of foods and drinks. Although we only stayed for one night the hotel location and amenities had everything we needed to enjoy our time at Disney Sea and leave feeling rested and ready for the rest of our trip in Japan."

Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Haneda Airport - Directly connected to Haneda Airport Terminal 3

"Villa Fontaine is conveniently located at Terminal 3, making it an excellent choice if you need to catch an international flight. The hotel has great laundry facilities and an onsite onsen available for an additional fee. There are also plenty of eateries and airport shopping options nearby, which is very convenient. However, the hotel is extremely busy and crowded, and shopping centres outside the airport are quite far away. Overall, it is a practical choice for an overnight stay before a flight, but less ideal if you plan to spend your time exploring shopping malls"

Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo

"This was a great hotel, maybe the best I've stayed in in Tokyo. The room was slightly more spacious than others I've stayed in at a similar price, and the bathroom was bigger than others I've stayed in - it felt like we had loads of room. The room was very clean and had lots of amenities, including a coffee maker and kettle. They provided extra water (4 bottles) whereas other hotels usually provide only 2. The staff were very helpful. We bought fruit while in other regions of Japan, and we needed a knife to eat it, which the staff were very happy to help us with. Also the staffs English was excellent. In terms of location, it is fairly close to 2 different stations which meant we could easily get to shibuya/Shinjuku and areas on the west of the city fairly easily, but equally also get to Tokyo station, nihombashi, and asakusa fairly easily. So for us it was a perfect location."

"The Grand Nikko Bay hotel was pure magic. It felt like an extension of the Disney parks with the Disney classical music playing in the lobby. The morning breakfast buffet was delightful with so many foods to choose from. Our room had a breathtaking bayside view complete with the Tokyo skyline. The hotel shuttle conveniently transports you between the parks and the hotel giving our tired legs a rest. The staff were so kind and helpful. We will most certainly be back. Thank you!"

"This hotel had the perfect location easy access to everything the trains walking in the area. The rooms are super clean and the stuff for helpful and very friendly and easy to talk to you about shipping our bags off to our next location. Would definitely stay here again"

Hotel Villa Fontaine Grand Tokyo - Shiodome

"Genuinely I cannot fault anything at this hotel or staff. New to Japan & travelling on our honeymoon. We stayed in the Executive King Room with Tatami area for our first week. On arrival the staff went above and beyond to give us a great experience. The in-room amenities were perfect. I loved they had an ink-stamp in the lobby and such a great way to kick-start the memory making. Room was perfect; great views, excellent size, good shower and toilet. Coffee machine pods were lovely too & helped us with jet lag! Breakfast was a beautiful mix; a good introduction to cuisine whilst retaining a familiar comfort/staple. Subway line right outside for convenience - but noting needed a few changes to get to places we were going and added a bit of time onto each day (but all the more reason to relax back in the room!!). Worth the cost? Absolutely. I would take another long haul flight just to stay again. Perfectly suited a once-in-a-lifetime trip or a lengthy business trip."
