「Great stay! friendly accommodating staff and truly dog friendly. 」

「The location was perfect, the staff accomodating and personable and very helpful. The room was clean, (though the hoover had missed some areas under the table and chair.. only noticable to us because our small kids tend to crawl under everything) the breakfast buffet had both cold and hot options. We appreciated the variety of pastries, yogurt, cereal and fruits innaddition to the full English available. Tasty too. 」

「Staff were very good, we arrived quite late at night because of the train mishap. It was raining and cold, we were made welcome and shown to rooms until we were happy with the choice!, room was warm clean and tidy. Breakfast was great lunch was delicious. 「Staff were fantastic. We had to get moved out of our first room due to bad sewer smell from bathroom. The second room was dated, dilapidated. Shower door handle loose, rain shower head broken and sprayed everywhere. Cracked tiles on the step to the bathroom. Stain on carpet under desk, bed was so uncomfortable, it was like a mattress that most would throw out. 「We had some issues with the original room and were changed almost immediately. Both rooms we were in are in desperate need of some TLC, a repaint, some basic maintenance and in the one we slept in, a new mattress. Rooms are very small too. We saw two cracked windows in the walkway from reception to rooms - risk assessment!!! The staff were very nice, helpful and I'm sure they feel that they are fighting an uphill battle. 「The place is old, but not an issue. But the sheets weren't really clean and found a pubic hairs on my pillow. I slept in my day clothes. The facilities had free parking. I parked and asked reception during check in if that's the right place to park and they advice me yes. After return home from my business trip, I get a parking ticket from the hotel. I provided my receipts and prove I actually stayed there but yet they still insist to charge me with debt collection. Two night stay was...

「The rooms were very large, the ensuite was clean and toiletries were provided. The only suggestion would be for the floorboards in the room above Sopwell (ground floor) to be screwed down as these were squeaky when the occupant in the room above was moving around which woke us up as the squeaks were quite loud. The free parking was great and the system was easy to use, the instructions sent prior to arrival were clear for the check-in and checkout process. 」
