This coastal Venice house boasts a lovely heated/screened pool (heat set to 83, unlimited heat plan available) and covered lanai, in an amazing location just 5 mins from several clear blue water Gulf shore beaches and 30 mins to the famous powdery white sands of Siesta Key Beach. Only a few doors walk to Shamrock Park wildlife and bird watching preserve where there are nature walking paths and a concrete bike path along the intra-coastal waterway. This path leads right to historic downtown Venice Island then connects to the Legacy Bike trail which provides 18 more miles of off street biking before terminating near downtown Sarasota. Our over-sized driveway welcomes your RV (optional 30A RV connection additional $35/night) or large boat and provides plenty of off street parking for cars. LIVING SPACES: Three inviting bedrooms sleep 6 comfortably with a king, full, pull out twin, and queen bed 6-8 guests max with provided queen air mattress. The master bedroom has a king bed, 40” TV and its own private bathroom. Both bathrooms are nicely renovated and equipped with showers, hair dryer, and towels, there is also an ironing board and clothing steamer. Spacious living room with 65” TV, high speed WiFi and streaming services. Fully equipped kitchen with all new appliances and reverse osmosis drinking water system to fill drinking water bottles. Fridge has an ice maker and huge ice bin in the pull out freezer. There’s an island with seating for 5 in the kitchen and additional indoor dining area with seating for 6. Guests can also relax outdoors in the covered screened lanai with dining for 6 in the gulf breeze where the grill-master can utilize the BBQ Grill that is sheltered from the elements. Enjoy sunbathing next to our beautiful screened in heated in-ground swimming pool overlooking a very private fenced tropical backyard. We have lemon, lime, and fig trees in the backyard (guests are welcome to pick when in bloom) There are child safety alarms installed on all doors leading to the pool and outlet covers for the toddlers for peace of mind. Travel light; there is a laundry room with a brand new extra large washer & dryer and we provide a waterproof blue-tooth boom box, beach towels, boogie boards, beach chairs and even yoga mats for your morning stretch or to attend the free Venice beach group yoga. This is a family and kid-friendly home in a very safe neighborhood. There is a pack n play travel crib available upon request. We welcome up to two small well behaved dogs ($125/stay pet fee be sure to check travelling with pets when booking). We have great neighbors and ask our guests to respect our quiet neighborhood, please have fun but no excessively loud late night parties. BEACHES: 10 minutes drive to Caspersen Beach (we provide some sifters and diggers, dig for prehistoric Megladon shark teeth this is the shark tooth capital!). Centrally located and minutes to Venice Beach, Service Club Park Beach, Nokomis Beach (known for Wednesday and Saturday sunset drum circles) and only 19 miles to famous Siesta Key Beach – Voted #1 beach in the U.S.. All beaches are completely free including parking. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES: Golf, Shamrock Park & Nature Center is just a few steps down the street, this park has hiking and biking trails, a notorious bird watching preserve, tennis courts (2 rackets provided), basketball courts (basketball provided), and large covered playground. There is a kayak launch in the neighborhood. Branch out a bit to numerous other hiking spots including Oscar Scherer and Myakka State Park (great for alligator watching) BOATERS: Venice Boat Ramp just 10 minutes away and no ramp fees. Nearby Wellen Park is the Lakewood Ranch of South Sarasota, with lakeside dining, scenic walking and a Sunday farmers market. FISHERMAN: rent a boat nearby, or cast a line at North Jetty, Venice Fishing Pier or right down the street on the intra-coasta waterway. LOCAL EVENTS AND CULTURE: Weekly Saturday farmers markets, seasonal art markets, and festivals like the Shark Tooth Festival on Venice Island downtown. Jet Ski rentals, Sunset Tiki cruises and dolphin/manatee tours available. DAY TRIPS: --Disney World, Epcot, Universal Studios just a two hour drive.
