"Initial check in was a little disappointing due to not receiving the King Room we had reserved and not offering any real fix since I had made the reservation through Expedia and not the hotel directly. I went back down to front desk to see if anything could be done, even a room change mid stay if necessary. I got very lucky and spoke with the supervisor who was incredible and he worked with the front staff to come up with an amazing solution. It really was fantastic. The staff was so helpful and they really worked their magic and made an anniversary weekend fantastic. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, had great views. It couldn't have worked out any better."

"This is a very nice hotel. You can call it a European manor, mansion, or estate. It has very nice grounds and a separate tea house. Nice and Clean. Rooms are comfortable. Because it was built in 1832, you cannot expect modern amenities. The A/C is portable (window or wall unit). Some of the heater units are plugged in, (no central HVAC). Our rooms did not have microwaves. They did have refrigerators and a safe. It has free breakfast in a nice room overlooking the courtyard. The food is good. The staff is pleasant and very helpful. Good restaurants close by. Please make reservations so you won't have long wait."

"The deluxe queen accessible room was what we booked and it was a great room except the shower. The water from the shower ran out onto the bathroom floor. Redesign of the water flow or shower pan needs to be done. The location is good as is the breakfast. Hotel needs more luggage rolling carts. Parking per day is expensive."
