The Best Location Ever

This rental was absolutely wonderful — the best location you could ask for! It’s right in the heart of everything, close to shops, restaurants, and historic sights. The place itself is charming and full of character, with a lovely mix of historic charm and modern comfort. It had all the amenities we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Super clean, cozy, and thoughtfully stocked. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend!

Visit Magnolia Silos

The Clay house is just a five minute walk from the Silos and many other shops. Short drives for the other shops and places to eat. Quiet neighborhood. Really enjoyed relaxing here! It was a much needed getaway!

Just Perfect!

A short walk to everything worth visiting in Waco. Adorable set-up, kitchen, master bedroom and living room. Clean, updated amenities, great closed in backyard. Thank you for hosting us and our little fur babies. It was the perfect birthday getaway!

The Clay House

House met our expectations. Lovely decor and very clean. Walking distance was perfect for Magnolia and tours. Safe neighborhood. My only recommendations would be to provide hooks in bedroom for clothes and hooks in the bathroom for towels. Also a covering for the window over the bed would be a plus.

Clay House stay August 2023

Just returned from Waco visit. Clay house was just as described. Very close to Magnolia Market, Dr Pepper Museum and downtown Waco. All within walking distance. Would highly recommend Clay House stay if looking for small updated quaint house. Had plenty of room for 2 of us. Amenities were perfect for our short stay(3 days).

Enjoyable Stay

we stayed here one night & had a comfortable experience. We woke up with the sunrise, as the uncovered window above the bed brought the sunlight in early. All but the bedside lights in this home are daylight bulbs (5000k or so) and didn't allow for much nighttime ambiance. We were able to check in a couple hours early, and had a warm welcome once we got in. Very easy check in/out process, 100% recommended for a couple or small family.

Incredibly convenient to Magnolia!

This small but cozy house was just the right size for a short stay. We selected the home due to its close proximity to Magnolia & was not disappointed - it's literally a short walk over. We also walked around downtown Waco from the property & felt very safe. I didn't pay close enough attention to what's available in the kitchen though - no stove, cooktop or toaster so preparing a decent meal there was tough but there is a gas grill out back so we got creative! It was nice to have a washer/dryer since we arrived in Waco after already visiting Austin.

Cute little place

Everything was great about this place except the neighbor’s light shines in the master bedroom all night long. And there is no window covering for that window. Bring your eye mask. Otherwise great location and well appointed.

Excellent lodging, just a couple of negatives

We loved the layout of this small house and really appreciated the close proximity to The Silos and Magnolia Market. The house is very clean and tidy with just the right amenities for a multi-night stay. The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is large and clean. There were only a few things that we could see that would improve the overall stay. First, the shower head did not have enough pressure and made it a little challenging to use. Second, there is a large window in the wall over the bed. It doesn’t have any kind of window treatment and that means that the street light outside really lit up the room at night and made it difficult to sleep. A simple blind or curtains could alleviate this problem. Lastly, the couch is not very comfortable. I am sure this is due to it being a pull out sleeper sofa. A couple of footstools would go a long way to making this more comfortable by giving you a place to prop your feet up and relax. As I stated earlier, with the exception of these few things, we loved the location and cleanliness of this cute lodging. We have already recommended this to some of our friends that’s are interested in visiting Waco. We will certainly stay here again when we come visit again.

Everything you need

This place was everything we needed for our trip to the Magnolia Silos. I loved being able to walk to the Silos. The house was decorated for the season and we enjoyed all the snacks and extras. We also visited Homestead Cafe which was an amazing place with great food.
