Lihue Wailua Golf Course Hotels

"This was, unfortunately, one of the worst hotel stays I’ve ever experienced. On our first night, the fire alarms went off around midnight and continued for nearly an hour. Not once did we receive any communication or even a basic apology from the hotel, which was extremely disappointing. There were also several maintenance issues in our room. The shower and sink drains were clogged, causing water to drain very slowly. While the property is currently under construction, the condition of the wall in our room was poor and clearly unfinished. Getting to and from the room was also inconvenient, requiring multiple elevator transfers. If you happen to forget something in your room after reaching the parking lot, it’s honestly quicker to just buy it elsewhere than make the trip back. To make matters worse, the battery in our room’s door lock died, leaving us waiting outside for quite some time until staff could come and fix it. While it’s clear the resort is attempting improvements through ongoing construction, the issues we encountered were unrelated and should not have happened regardless. Additionally, the location is quite secluded, meaning longer drives to reach most attractions around the island. Overall, I would not recommend staying here. For a similar price point, you’re better off choosing a hotel with fewer issues and a more convenient location."

" Beautiful property. Great welcoming staff. Complimentary bike use and great location. Really enjoyed our stay. Slight musty smell in room when first using air conditioning but a great stay especially based on the price. "

"They didn’t have a breakfast buffet. Their breakfast menu was too expensive. The only thing they had was coffee and a nice waitress that’s it."

"The accommodations inside the condo were comfortable. There were issues with the property grounds that would give us pause to recommend it. The gas grills were not functioning so we couldn’t barbecue. The hot tub was out of order our entire stay. The Outrigger was undergoing renovations as well as a number of other condo buildings are fenced off, and the lanai had a lot of mosquitoes so we couldn’t use it. Not sure if there were so many mosquitoes because of the recent rains or if the grounds were not being sprayed. In fairness, we did not contact the host as all the issues we had were really outside their control. The location was good, I would just recommend asking about the grounds and amenities before staying at the Kauai Beach Villas. "

"The view was great. The unit itself could have cleaning. The floor under the bed was very dusty and the baseboards needed a wipe down. "

"We loved our stay in this condo. The park paths along the waterfront were great for walking. Kitchen was everything I had hoped for except the microwave ... too small. I could not cook a couple of travel go-to dishes because of its size. Consider removing the hood over the range and replacing it with a full-size microwave with exhaust fan. "

"We enjoyed our stay in the beautiful island of Kauai. The room is just as advertised. The pool area is fun and inviting. Crystal is a great host and has been turning around any questions quickly. Note that there is a fee for parking. "
