“Cosy cottage, comfy beds, large fluffy towels, good heating, easy to control. Kitchen well stocked, utensils that worked( knives sharp, plenty of pots and pans) Great location for exploring the Yorkshire countryside, nice walk into Askrigg which has nice pubs, food, artisan shop. Owners responded to queries quickly . Note to tall people, watch your head on upstairs bathroom ( I am 150cm and banged my head). This added character to the cottage.”

“This is a place that has been designed to make you feel at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated with colorful fabrics and interesting decorations. The pub is dog and human friendly and is a popular spot for locals. Jack, the Bernese Mountain dog is regularly present as he belongs to Kenny, one of the owners. “This is superb quirky hotel/pub to stay at. food very high end / good description is Michelin star without being nominated! Each room has a different different theme - all very quirky with ‘surprises’ to match theme. Everyone we spoke to were return visitors - this is THE place to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries. Higher end price bracket but worth it - they do have mid week offers.will definitely return”
