“The Old White Inn was in a great area and it was nice to stay in an authentic inn. On the second night of our stay, we were awoken by a person coming up the stairs pounding on all the doors on our floor and trying to gain access in the rooms with a key. The person was also slamming the furniture outside the hallway. This went on a few times and then we saw another person receiving deliveries at 3 in the morning and slamming the front door several times. The next morning this same person was……

“The pub and restaurant are closed from Monday to Wednesday, but, the rooms are available, but, the breakfast is available, if you are staying there. The Inn is surrounded by beautiful scenery, and ample parking. The transport links are excellent to Huddersfield and surrounding areas. Julie, the host, is very nice and knowledgable about the area, who also cooks a very good breakfast. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, very spacious bathroom with a lovely selection of toiletries. ……

“Everything was perfect. Clean, comfy, quiet rooms. The only thing I would improve is that checking out on a Sunday morning at 10am felt a bit early, as we obviously have to get up earlier to shower, pack up and have breakfast. 11am would have been a lot better. The breakfast was also excellent, which is why we didn’t want to rush it. But I personally like to brush my teeth after breakfast, so we couldn’t check out till I’ve done that and that made everything feel a bit early. Great pub to……

“Really like our stay. The bed, duvet and pillows gave us an amazing sleep. Breakfast is as good as you will get. The two things to pick on were there was a bit of dust in the rooms and one of the rooms was very stuffy even with the fan on. As the windows only opened a little you couldn’t get much air in the room. ”
