"We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise. Everything about this hotel (location, food, room, area, staff) was great with one glaring exception (which we reported). The hostess in the 6th floor restaurant was rude on multiple occasions. She did not fit in with the rest of the lovely staff. We reported this (several people in our party noticed her attitude on multiple occasions) This aside, our stay was lovely and we recommend"

"We stayed for 3 nights. Excellent staff and very comfortable bed. Delicious breakfast. The location is perfect, the view from our room was Winchester Cathedral. Parking is reasonably priced at the hotel but you need to get there early as the car park is not very large Definitely would stay again."

"Super friendly on check in and it was just no bother thereafter. Nothing bad to say. Pleasant hotel - looks like a prison from the outside but they have done absolute wonders with the inside. Lifts were glitchy while we were there which was annoying but I’m sure that’s a temporary thing. Amazing position for the Boat Show and shopping. "

"Staff were happy to deal with a couple of requests re changing the duvet and pillows to non feather/down filling and they had pre-installed a dog bed and bowl, which saved me another trip to the car thankfully. Comfortable, well equipped and dark bedroom. Very nice public areas and staff"

"The property was close to the cruise port and the train station. Everyone was so nice and willing to help and answer questions. It was our first time anywhere in Europe. Staying here was a good start to our trip."
