"Set in a nice quiet location. Very clean and our room had everything we needed. Food was excellent and portion sizes meant breakfast lasted us all day! Staff were very welcoming, helpful and cheerful."

"Upon arrival we were welcomed. And directed to our cottage. When we opened the door, I was taken back by how lovely the cottage was. It was cold to start off but with the under floor heating, it done warmed up. Then as time went by we noticed a huge cobweb which had been there a while. Then on the sofa under the cushion the were crumbs and a piece of a balloon. The floor felt crumbs under foot. Toilet around the back by the seat brackets were dirty. Behind the bath was black mould. And damage plaster on walls. The light out side which shone on the hottub was on constantly, shining into the room. We put the blinds down but didn't help much. Parts of the Hot tube was floating around in the water. We told reception and they got some of it fixed. I still enjoyed my stay because the workers were lovely."

"Neglected room, stains, not clean hotel generally neglected. Restaurant had run out of lots of menu items, car charger hard to find and no lights so very difficult to operate in the dark"

"Old Barn is in a delightful area with beautiful views. Lovely having use of a pool & hot tub. Children loved the animals & soft play. Having the dog field also great. Think certain areas looking bit tired & could do with new tea towels & bathroom towels. Only gripe was having to strip beds, empty all the bins & do recycling & be out by 9.30 am. We did it - just!!"

"We arrived to enjoy a Xmas break with family and our pets. The cottage was amazing, clean warm and spacious. We cooked Xmas dinner, all the facilities were there and we popped down to the beaches and local pubs and shops.Jon and Caroline were lovely, and left us to enjoy Jasmine Cottage."

"Lovely place. Very clean and comfortable, with a well stocked kitchen. I would highly recommend, but I was surprised to be asked to strip the beds before leaving. Maybe I’m old school, but I expect to leave a place clean and tidy, not start doing the actual house keeping when I’ve paid for somewhere. "

"Had a nice stay at the Kentisbury Grange in the retreat lodge. It was very well equipped and set in a lovely location. It did however show signs of age with some of furnishing needing replacement (eg some laminates on furniture peeling off). The cleaning was well below par. Layer of dust across most surfaces, crums in the table channels etc.. Bed linen and kitchen areas were very clean though. Bathroom had some issues and did not meet our definition of luxury because of wear and tear and cleanliness. Toilet brush urgently needs replacing. The shower drain was slow draining and when it was knocked it revealed a mass of black hair. This was somewhat off putting. I don’t want to end on a negative so I do want to praise the service and food at the bar and restaurant. It was a very welcomed on site facility that we enjoyed on number of evenings. Overall, the lodge just needs a little more TLC."

"Highly recommend staying here - everything was great. The rooms were mostly huge with loads of room to spread out. We had a toddler with us and the snug next to the kitchen made a great playroom where she could play safely. The kids spent hours on the trampoline and in the games room and tennis court. We had a couple of showery mornings but it just wasn't a problem, there was so much to do at the house. Most evenings were spent in the hot tub followed by sitting around around the fire pit until well after dark. The pizza oven and BBQ were both great!"
