"Expected medium to high level room for business stay. Was given a handicap room with more of an uncomfortable care home vibe. Door to adhering room felt unsafe. Visible stains on the bed sheet. 20% left on a grey toilet roll, end stuck together with the roll with seemingly dirty finger print. No spare. Dirty looking shower curtains. Minimal breakfast with hairs on some of the food. Coffee station around the corner in a very crowded space. Receptionist was good. Would not return."

"Hotel fine for a quick stopover. I thought Malmaison was a little more upmarket than I found it but room was a good size, clean and the bed was comfortable - my only complaint was that you could hear a lot of voices from the corridor and adjoining room but this didn’t continue too late into the night. Reception staff were pleasant enough but slow and unable to help with basic questions such as ‘where can I find a postbox?’. The hotel was in a good location for what I needed and I would stay again should I need to be in that area."

"Very good value for money, excellent staff. I received the message on arrival checking if I was happy with everything in my room. I will come back just to have waffles for breakfast, they were great. The choice at breakfast was really good . Enjoyed my stay."

"This hotel makes a Travelodge look like The Dorchester. While the ladies at reception and the cleaner were absolutely lovely and did their best to help, this is unfortunately the worst hotel I have stayed in within the UK. The first room I was allocated had an overwhelming sewage smell. The odour was so strong that I walked straight back out and returned to reception. To their credit, the receptionist apologised and promptly moved me to what she described as one of the newly refurbished rooms. Although the second room was clean, it was incredibly small, the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Anyone who suffers from claustrophobia would likely find it very uncomfortable. The bathroom was equally cramped, with barely enough space to turn around. The shower and sink were also exceptionally small. To make matters worse, there was a vent in the room on the exterior wall, which meant dealing with dragonflies and other insects throughout my stay. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience, and I would not choose to stay here again."

Sofa bed was very comfortable and easy to bring out and put away. Probably one of the calmest places I've stayed in. Great location for easy access to the city. Would definitely recommend and stay again."
