“Friendly staff. Comfy beds. We had twin room only downside only had bath with handheld shower. There wasn't a curtain so had to sit in bath put shower over you which was difficult trying not to get water everywhere. Breakfast really good. I would stay here again.”

“Perfect location & lovely team. Check-in plus the terrace bar were perfect - we used the terrace when we arrived and for an early morning coffee before breakfast, No room service or evening meals, but we’re didn’t need either. A huge range of eating options within 5-10 minutes walk. Apart from strolling around Rye, we also drove to Rye Harbour (free car park there) and walked to the Discovery Centre and the sea. Note that for the hotel car park you pay £10.00 per day and this needs to be done……

“I'm not usually a B&B person but it had such amazing reviews we gave it a try and it lived up to every 5 star review. It is absolutely gorgeous, the room was spacious and had the most fabulous bathtub. The breakfast is wonderful and Karen is so kind and accommodating. I highly recommend The Laindons.”

“What a fantastic stay at the The Little Silver Country Hotel, beautiful garden and quaint rooms, we had the double (four poster) with the Juliet balcony (Rm 14), perfect on the hottest weekend of the year, the staff were fantastic and couldn’t do more for us to have the most comfortable stay, fabulous breakfast, and even help us out and went to the trouble and arranged a seamless return taxis to Chapel Down, we will be back!”

“The grounds are stunning with so much potential but it feels very much a work in progress. We used paddle boards on the lake, which was fab but an additional charge on top of a very expensive room. The sauna wasn’t quite up to heat, we stoked the wood burning hot tub for a dip, tried the lake to cool off and the cold plunge was unfortunately empty. The room was nice and clean. I booked the junior suite but ended up getting a suite. It didn’t feel any more special than a deluxe room elsewhere……

“The staff were all wonderful and helpful . It was 36c+ . The building is an old historic property with newly refurbished bedrooms . A fan was in the room to help with the heat . Small but comfortable with a lovely bathroom. My room faced the front and with the heat I needed my window open . The property is by the traffic lights so if you are traffic averse , ask for a rear room . Breakfast is continental but you can pay extra for a cooked breakfast, but not on Sundays . Room for 3 cars to park……

“Claverton staff, food, room and gardens all excellent. The functions on 2 nights in function room and beer garden below our room was noisy and therefore took edge off stay hence the 4 stars and would not return in the future.”

“What a beautiful location! Lovely hotel in a perfect spot. The staff were all so freindly and helpful, especially the extremely polite dark haired gentleman at the bar when we arrived. He took the trouble to show me to the room and explained everything. The breakfast was also very good, great choice and lovely to sit with a view of the Abbey. Would love to stay here again and would highly recommend.”
