"We loved having a 3 bedroom suite with a living area and private baths for all. So nice to be all together yet in our own space, The food was good and the service was too! Unfortunately the property isn't licensed. That's the only hesitation I would have on returning."

"The Garden Lodge is in a lovely building, the garden is in fact beautiful, there is a restaurant right in the hotel, the staff are very helpful, and the rooms are very pleasant. I would stay here again."

"Rooms had no towels or drinking water when we arrived at this local Swahili-style accommodation. When given bathroom towels we were told to use the same towels for the beach. That night we kindly enquired if they would prepare a whole fish for us if we were to buy from the beach and we were rudely told no. Same rudeness again the next morning when I asked them to cut a fresh pineapple at breakfast. If this is their policy, no problem, but no need to speak badly. We packed our bags at midday and...
