“We chose this bed and breakfast based on others’ reviews- and you should, too! Our room was lovely and homey and had everything you’d want or need available. Mike and Julie are spectacularly thoughtful hosts. We felt welcomed, cared for, and a little bit spoiled :) during our three day stay. Will absolutely stay here again on our next visit to VT! ”

“I decided to stay a bit out of town for a ski trip....and it was perfect. Just a 10 min ride down the hill to OKEMO and LUDLOW. It is absolutely beautiful and quiet...the sunsets and sunrises are amazing from the top of that hill. It is secluded and you really get a slice of VT. The unit is very large and spacious. It has everything you need for a short stay...for some, not having a microwave is an issue, but not for me. Toaster over, full stove, fridge, electric water kettle, coffee maker,……

“We were happily surprised when we stayed at The Common Man Inn for the first time. Friendly staff, very clean, fun and funky decor (in keeping with The Common Man restaurants) and a wonderful continental breakfast. Love the old mill building architecture. Having The Common Man restaurant right next door is a bonus. Highly recommend both!”

“Huge comfortable suits, great for families. Loft has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus living room, dining room, and full kitchen. Also gas fireplaces (though may not be running) which creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. Pool, hot tub, and sauna were in great condition. Highly recommend. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay. Kids loved the well organized Activity Room with the coloring sheets, blocks, access to the large screen tv. We only had one issue and that was the lighting at night entering the pool area. We had mentioned at our stay in April 2023 that it made if very difficult to walk there from our condo and were surprised it was not resolved. But hopefully, the painting of the floor pool is a good sign that the renovations are under way. Other than that, we always were……

“It was our first time in the castle itself, usually we stay in the lower hotel but the rates were comparable to the least expensive so I booked one night in the “castle”. The only complaint we really had was the heater in the room was controlled from a thermostat that was down the hall and was for the entire building so our room was either cold or way too hot even with the windows open in late April. That being said it was only when you were getting in or out of the shower and getting ready for……

“The home and entire property is lovely. Our room was not in the main house but it was roomy, clean and comfortable. Loved the cute Conutry store as well. Charge a little more and include a breakfast voucher. ”

“My family enjoyed our stay very much! The outdoor pool and hot tub was a real treat before heading north to see the eclipse. My kids haven't stopped talking about our trip to Vermont! We will be sure to come back.”

“I enjoyed my stay at the Shire. It’s an odd mix of comfort, luxury, bargain and practicality. The room was clean and comfortable, if a bit worn. I sprang for a river front room, which was an excellent idea. The deck outside my door was right off of the lawn at the edge of the water, and it was a delight to have the soothing water sounds outside. In better weather, you can use the fire pits and Adirondack chairs to create a cozy vibe at the water’s edge. The drawback to the waterfront rooms……

“Pros: - Great location for enjoying Mt Sunapee area - The common areas were great - Very easy and smooth check-in and check-out. - Great value for the price (Possible) Cons: - This wasn't an issue for me, but there is no staff on location. I didn't need anyone at all, but just in case you want to interact with a human when you check in or check out, you won't find that.”

“The townhouse was perfect for my family of 4 as we were skiing at nearby Mt. Sunapee (about 8 mins away!). The pictures honestly represented the property. The kitchen is a bit dated but the townhouse was very clean and very comfortable. The property manager was extremely welcoming and so very helpful when we had questions. The property is located on lots of open land so we were able to snowshoe with the kids on the property as well. Would definitely come back to this townhouse.”
