“Everything was excellent, just wish the t.v. had a menu selection so that you don’t have to go through every channel.”

“We really liked the location, the hotel was close to the beach, restaurants and a grocery store across the street. We didn't even need our car. The businesses close early so there wasn't a "party" atmosphere outside of the hotel. It was very quiet too and not super crowded. The only drawback was breakfast. It was okay but I've had much better at cheaper hotels. ”

“The staff here is very accommodating. We wanted a room with a balcony and paid for one. We got to the room unpacked and headed to the balcony to find the door wouldn’t open. It was screwed shut. I called downstairs and was told that I should have been made aware of the issue and offered me another room with a balcony. I was happy they had another room but had to repack to unpack a second time. Also, I think the rugs in the hallways need to be replaced. There’s the same odor on several floors,……

“Room has no bottle water, no door in shower room, breakfast ends 9am which is too early. No drinks after breakfast.”

“We were very happy with Southern Oaks Inn. It was conveniently located, easy to find and had a free shuttle to the historic district. Our room looked like it was recently renovated and clean. The beds were comfortable and the A/C worked well. The free breakfast was wonderful! Eggs, bacon, breakfast potatoes, grits, some fruit, coffee & orange juice. We wish we were staying more than one night. The staff was friendly and helpful. And they had the best price that I could find. Will definitely stay……

Having stayed at many hotels in the area for many years it was an unexpected surprise to see the level of services and accommodations that are offered. Full breakfast, afternoon happy hour, bar service at the pool and an outstanding restaurant if you’re staying in for dinner. A wonderful experience that we will be doing again in the future.”

“To stay was great. The hot tub was down. And the second floor had construction. But all in all it was a good visit. Whenever just finished being reconstructed I would even consider staying again. The people are great. They solved a problem for me or rather compensated me for the problem and tried to make the problem less of an issue. Thank you for my stay.”
