「The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.」

「Hotel was clean and comfortable. Right next to the main road and across the street from the harbor, but the noise wasn't an issue. Not a great many choices of bars/restaurants in Kirkwall, so having a bar and restaurant in the hotel was helpful. Restaurant is very nice, though you can order in the bar as well. Wifi didn't reach the bar or our room above the bar, but the lounge had good reception. Very walkable to shops, the cathedral, and the palace/castle.」

「Where to start… Woman on check in had no idea what an Expedia pay at property reservation was. The remaining balance of the room was attempted to be taken before we even checked in. When we were eventually greeted by the very unhelpful woman, we were told that she “apparently” did not know what the reservation was. This is absolutely disgusting as clearly the staff have no clue what they’re doing. Then to dinner, a young girl has the most disgusting attitude for a waitress I have ever seen....

「The cute little room was clean and airy, the bathroom products were fully stocked, and a full hot or cold breakfast is provided. The room is up a set of outside stairs just above the restaurant, which has a nice variety of options on the menu. We enjoyed our stay both on the way to Canna and overnight on the return.」

「The sister hotel to the Shore was where we needed to check in, it is undergoing refurbishment of its facade. The Shore was clean, easy access to the city center, and meet our needs. Parking was easy and the staff went the extra mile to help us with our luggage as there is no elevator at the Shore (we knew that at the time we made our reservation)」
