“We rented the Alpine Manor Retreat for my daughter’s ski birthday weekend. This place is great. Great location. Easy to get to Alpine, Pallisades, Tahoe City or Truckee. Clean. We always like that when we walk in. Responsive communication system. Door code didn’t work at first, but was fixed in less than 5 minutes. ”

“This property is in great location. I really love the big window and lake view. It’s has access to the private pier which is a big plus. However it’s quite old. The stove top and oven is not working during our stay. And I suggest bringing your own bedding.”

“Super close to lifts, and restaurants. A little rough around the edges, but most things were fine. Appliances were all nice, and t.v. was modern. To nitpick (since you asked), my biggest complaint would be that there wasn't a clean sponge in the kitchen sink, and the only cooking pot available for cooking would have been rejected from a second-hand store. I don't expect too much from rentals (ie, I usually bring my own knives and basic cooking supplies), but I want at least basic quality pots……

It was listed as being dog friendly on Expedia. 5 days prior to our arrival, I received an email from grand welcome, stating that the property was not dog friendly. I thought this was a mistake, but when I spoke to the company, they said it was not, and they had no comparable places for us to stay last minute.
