“The place is well kept and the staff was really friendly. The price compared to other hotels you could not beat it. They have a great place but need to update things like tv bathroom and doors. It like visiting you grandparents the place is well kept but it’s like traveling back in time. If I need to stay again in Lancaster again I would stay at Bird in hand”

“Pros- easy to find, outside of the building is clean and attractive, unique, friendly staff, room was clean and spacious, wonderful jetted tub, restaurant attached, great waitress Cons- when you check in there’s a sign saying to call someone for help checking in, elevator is broken (we were on the 4th floor), floor is lopsided in the hallway and the room, peeling wallpaper in some areas, threadbare towels, coffee only on the second floor,very warm with no temperature change after adjusting the……

“We stay here every year when we come down to Sight and Sound. It is always clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast area is wonderful and we enjoy sitting with long distance family catching up over coffee.”
