"Enormous house. Plenty spacious for 3 couples and 2 kids (and could have fit 4 couples and 4 kids). We kept misplacing our things the house is so large! The beds were comfy & the a/c’s kept us nice and cool on those hot summer days of July. We really enjoyed the 3 decks, with one being screened & all with gorgeous views. Joe & Jenny were very easy to communicate with & we would definitely recommend their home for a large family vacation. There is plenty of room to stretch out and have your own space, while also coming together and making memories to last a lifetime."

"This beautiful gem is the perfect get away with wonderful hosts! We loved it! You are in your own little cottage surrounded by nature with fabulous walks & hikes to take to private waterfalls. You have the place & surroundings to yourself - no neighbors to see or hear. While the hosts live close by, you don't see them for the trees. You can step out onto the porch in the morning in your pajamas, sit in a rocker, sip your coffee, & take in the mountain view, the birds at the feeder, & the sound of the breeze blowing through the branches of the trees. Don't feel like cooking? In spite of being tucked away in your own private retreat, great restaurants are only a very short drive away. Want adventure? You're less than 30 minutes from zip lines, white water rafting etc. Want forested seclusion? Walk to one of the 4 private waterfalls on the property & sit in the convenient cushioned swing. The only sounds you will hear are the birds & the water burbling over the rocks. Want more of a workout? Hike to another waterfall on the property. Want to float in a shallow river or pan for gold? Walk down to their private area on the nearby river.When you are done exploring, come back to the cottage whose interior and thoughtful touches look like it was designed by someone on HGTV but with personal touches laid out for your own comfort. The fact that Jim & Carmen want to share this with us is amazing. They are the most gracious, friendly hosts we have ever encountered in our travels!"

"Great view, very clean, and they provided everything we needed. I've stayed at cabins with stocked kitchens before, but I've never been somewhere that had such a fully stocked seasoning cabinet, along with three types of sugar and so much more. They also provided a pet gate and a kennel, which was incredibly thoughtful. We stayed in all weekend, so we didn't end up using them, but it was nice knowing they were available.A few small things could have been better. The outdoor furniture was a bit dusty, and we had to brush off some dust and spider webs before sitting down. It wasn't a big deal, but it would have been nice if it had been cleaned before we arrived. Also, the upstairs bathtub drained very slowly. We just used the downstairs bathroom instead, so it wasn't an issue.On our second day, the fire alarm started beeping because the battery needed to be replaced. The hosts responded to our message promptly, and they let us replace the battery ourselves since sending someone out on a holiday would have cost us 75.Overall, it felt like we were borrowing a friend's cozy cabin. It was reasonably priced, charming, and well equipped. We'd love to come back and see what the view looks like in the fall!"
