This is a spacious apartment located within a beautiful house in the quaint town of Argegno. The apartment offers a magnificent view of the lake - you will be enchanted by the beauty of the sunset that can be admired from this property. The house in which the apartment is situated has a garden with a terrace right at the edge of the lake, shared with other tenants of the property. Here, you can relax or sunbathe in complete tranquility. Furthermore, the white and blue tones of the interior decorations contribute to providing a sense of peace and relaxation. The modern furnishings, on the other hand, make the apartment practical and functional.

The apartment can accommodate up to four people. There are indeed two double bedrooms, a living area including a fully equipped kitchen and a living room with a large sofa and a flat-screen TV, and a bathroom with a bathtub and shower. You can use a shared washing machine. Free wi-i is available to guests.

PARKING

The apartment does not have private parking. However, you can park near the property in the village square that is located on the road to reach the property.

NEIGHBORHOOD

Argegno is located on the shore of Lake Como, offering wonderful views of the lake. The mouth of the Telo River, also known as Telo d\'Argento, divides the ancient medieval town into two parts, which are connected by an age-old stone bridge with pointed arches. A cable car can transport people up to the nearby village of Pigra from where you’ll have a wonderful view of the lake and the surrounding mountains. The Sanctuary of Sant\'Anna is located a few kilometres from Argegno along the provincial road to Schignano. In the centre, you can easily rent a boat, bikes, kayaks, paddle boards and more. You will find high-class restaurants for a romantic or special dinner. There are also some nice bars, with live music in the summertime.

This spacious house, combining a modern style with the elegance of the historical Italian houses, is located in the historic centre of Argegno – close to all the services and the lake.

GETTING AROUND

For the guests\' convenience, we suggest arriving by car.

Guests who do not arrive by car can use public transportation to get around. There are ASF Autolinee buses (C10 and C20) in operation in the area. Tickets can be obtained from the driver (cash only) or in designated places (see their website). Bus stops near the property, and the bus will take you to Como city and other nearby towns.

From the pier in Argegno, a local ferry service will take you to Como and other lakeside towns. Please note – if traveling in high season, we advise you to be patient with long waiting lines at the ticket office (especially in Como city). Tickets can also be bought online on the Navigazione Laghi website.

Unfortunately, most public transportation services stop before 10 pm, the boats even earlier. Taxis are also available, but not easily attainable in the region.

From Como San Giovanni station, there are regular trains departing to Milano Centrale and Switzerland (Lugano, Bellinzona, Locarno). From Como Nord Lago, there is a train connection to Milano Cadorna.

The nearest airports are Milano Malpensa, Milano Linate, and Orio Al Serio in Bergamo. It is possible to arrange a direct shuttle to and from the airport at an additional cost.

TIPS

>We advise you to take a day to visit the marvellous little towns around the lake. Como city is the urban centre of the area, but the little towns are gems with glorious lakeside villas.

>To travel and walk around Lake Como, especially in the little towns, comfortable shoes are a must.

>There are many public drinking-water fountains in the area, and the water is safe to drink unless stated otherwise. Tap water is also drinkable. You can carry your own refillable bottle!

>If you are looking for a relatively easy hike in the area and want to enjoy mountain views anyway, Lake Como Greenway is an easy-to-follow trail that connects the lakeside towns from Colonno to Griante and doesn\'t require too much walking uphill. A bus will take you to the starting point in Colonno.

>Take the cable car to Pigra. From the village, there are numerous hiking trails, ranging from easy to challenging.

>Look for traditional restaurants where you can try local foods such as Lake Como fish dishes.

>In Italy, many shops (especially the little ones) and services are closed in the middle of the day, so be careful to plan your shopping accordingly.

>Lake Como is one of the deepest lakes in Europe and the deepest in Italy. Swimming and diving are prohibited in many areas and can be dangerous. For those who wish to dwell in the water, however, there are some options. Look for Lido di Argegno. There are also beaches in other towns. Lido di Bellagio and pebbly San Giovanni beach will be waiting for those who wish to travel and explore the beautiful town of Bellagio which lies in the middle of the two Larian branches. Locals and visitors also enjoy travelling to Nesso where the bravest swimmers can jump into the lake from the ancient Roman bridge near the waterfall.

>Lake Como is located in a mountainous region. The surrounding pre-Alps might not seem very high, but the climate is nevertheless affected by the nearby mountains, and temperatures can change quickly. Be particularly attentive to the weather when hiking, and bring some warm and waterproof clothes with you!
