"Craigard was quite comfortable and well-located. We loved our short stay here! If we ever get back this way, we will definitely be looking at renting this adorable cottage. "

"An out of the way, very comfortable and welcoming, stay for the road-weary, traveling the highlands… only regret is that our itinerary prevented us staying longer! Out of the way but close enough to anything you’re visiting in the area, Skye, Eileen Donan… "
A tranquil, wildlife haven with stunning loch and mountain views - pet friendly.
10/10 Excellent
"The most beautiful peaceful setting with amazing views and wildlife all around. Excellent communication from the hosts. The cottage itself was nice and clean, a little bit of a quirky layout but to be expected for a 100 year old property."
"Stayed with family for 3 nights. We loved this place. Ample parking spaces. Restaurant and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast lounge was stocked with cereal, milk, utensils etc. Only suggestion I'd give would be to replace the cutleries twice a day instead of once. Since people do bring takeaway food and eat in the lounge during the evenings, the cutleries get used up a lot and very few is left out for when we go for breakfast in the mornings. This is probably why there were reviews that used dishes were still on the food trolley."
"Our hosts were very friendly and offered advise regarding Storm Amy's approach, where we could see the stags locally (which we did!) and regarding returning via Bealach na Ba which we did in dense cloud on the way in. We took the coast road back as the weather was worsening and the view non existent!
Our room was very comfortable and cosy with underfloor heating in the bathroom. The honesty bar was great for stopping in the room (wine, beer, soft drinks, various snacks) - we came away with some of the lovely shortbread. Not to mention the welcome drinks which was a lovely touch.
The B&B is right out of Applecross and so we took a drive back to the Applecross Inn for dinner with a lovely view out over the bay.
Scottish breakfast was perfect and the locally smoked salmon was fabulous! It set us up for the day with a lovely a walk around Applecross before heading off the beat the incoming Amy."
"Coillemore is a beautifully restored house where real care has been taken to honour its history. The views to the distant mountains are stunning, shifting in and out of sight, and the setting is very peaceful- we slept like logs. Watching robins and wagtails from the kitchen was a daily joy.A great location for exploring Skye, Kyle, Plockton, and beyond, with walks straight from the house into Coille Mhòr, the nearby temperate rainforest (great if the thought of more driving sends shivers!).Inside, the house is finished to a very high standard. The bedrooms are all thoughtfully designed, each with its own personality, and every corner feels considered. The kitchen is well equipped with any implement you could want for cooking. The heating was well set up- we never once felt cold, making the outside a shock at times! The hot tub and newly installed sauna were a treat to have available. Both were easy to set up and use. Chopping wood and lighting fires for the hot tub helps to nestle you into the place, and any fantasies you may come to have about living there. After filling up on the beauty of outside, it was also a treat to settle in with the TVs, which offer plenty of entertainment. My mum particularly enjoyed being able to watch through the Alien TV series (fitting as some of Ridley Scott's 'Prometheus' was shot on Skye).Overall, we had a fantastic stay at Coillemore. It’s a magical place to celebrate a birthday and somewhere I'll be carrying in my heart and daydreams."
