"Downstairs areas are all in good order; staff are pleasant and welcoming. I stayed in the Stafford room, so my review is based on this room. I can't say if this is reflective of other rooms. The room was in a very poor state, the furniture and especially the sofa were beyond poor. Ants across the floors, and moths on the walls. The headboard on the bed was foisty, carpets were unclean A very unpleasant stay. Breakfast was decent, and the service was good "

"Lovely friendly pub with some accommodation. This is my second stay, and I was made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Great range of beers and ciders with quiz nights and cheese evenings during the week"

"Paul and Elaine were amazing hosts and couldn't be more helpful. The retreat, grounds and hot tub were all wonderful and it was a great place to visit. Really enjoyed watching the ducks run around too!"
