"Overall, we had a good stay at Riu Santa Fe. The staff was friendly, and the water park was super fun, definitely a highlight for us. The shows were good, MJ, Rock Still Alive and the Mexican one, were very good.
My main concern was the atmosphere created by the pool parties. While I support people having fun, it sometimes felt uncomfortable having that same party crowd mixed into family areas, especially during dinner. On a few occasions, the dress code didn’t seem to be enforced, which affected the dining experience.
That said, we loved Cabo San Lucas and would most likely return. With a bit more attention to maintaining a consistent dress code and separating party and family environments, the experience could be even better."
Pueblo Bonito Pacifica Golf & Spa Resort -All Inclusive-Adult Only
8/10 Good
" The staff was wonderful the property and food was top notch and the views are amazing. We really enjoyed our time but on our last day we had planned with a friend to pick us up from the resort and bring us to the airport I called and informed the front desk the night before and gave my friends information. Car model, name and plate . They said it was perfectly fine, we then checked out the next morning. Our friend arrived and the resort and staff at the gate proceeded to harass him and stopped him claiming to be an uber driver I walked over to the staff to inform them to check with the front desk and this is my friend . Around 5 resort staff at the gate circled his car and kind of intimidated him and kept claiming he’s an Uber. This lasted for 20-25 minutes in blistering heat with our luggage standing around with a flight to catch .. I can’t say anything bad about the resort but this last interaction left a really bad impression as they claimed we are liars. All this because they want you to use the taxi drivers they work with ( I don’t use taxi in Mexico because it’s a complete rip off) they eventually let us leave after arguing and circling the car and holding us at the gate. The resort staff was wonderful the whole trip and very kind ."
Grand Fiesta Americana Los Cabos All Inclusive Golf & Spa
4/10 Poor
"Mixed experience overall. The pool was nice, but the beach was the highlight—clear water and great snorkeling right off shore.
Food was the biggest downside. The buffet closed at 12 pm daily, which limited options, and even basic meals often lacked common meats like beef or chicken. Most of the included food was underwhelming. The only standout was the steakhouse, which was excellent—but not included and required an extra charge.
Service and amenities were fine, but unless you’re going mainly for the beach, it’s hard to fully recommend."
"We stayed at the Rose for a week during spring break. Check in was fast and simple. Our room was outdated but clean. We had a view of the pool and could see a sliver of the ocean. The beds were so hard and the pillows were too big. The AC was fine and we had hot water.
The pool was oddly warm and after a few hours got murky. I saw them cleaning it every morning but too many kids and sunscreen would dirty it up. It would make more sense to have an outdoor shower by the pool than in the sand on the beach.
We love this location because of the beach and walking distance to town. The service on the beach was hit or miss. We would tip every server but noticed a lot of other people not.
The food at the resort was disappointing. The guacamole had no flavor. The tacos, pizza, burritos were nothing to write home about. The drinks were also nothing special. The last AI resoet we stayed at had fresh squeezed margs and these ones just taste like sugar and mixer. Luckily we could walk down to Uno Mas.
We tried getting into the sushi spot but it was almost a 2 hour wait so we went to Texican across the street. We finally got into the sushi spot a couple days later and was super disappointed. It didnt take long to seat us but then it took forever to be acknowledged and another 30 min to order. The sashimi was ok. The rolls and fried rice were not good. Paloma also had no flavor, then the waiter expected us to tip off of the calculated bill (I would never pay $125 for). It was very rude."
"This was our first time staying at the Hard Rock. This resort is about a 45 min drive from the SJD airport, quick and safe road. The entertainment at this resort was fantastic. From the live music/bands throughout the day to the nightly shows. We traveled with our 8yr old daughter and she loved the entertainment and the slides at the pool. There are several family friendly pools to choose from and all provided plenty of pool chairs. The buffet (breakfast and dinner) food was ok, but not great. For dinner we had dinner at Toro (the steakhouse) 3/10: service was grea, food took way too long to come out (almost an hour), and steak was pretty flavorless; Zen 10/10: food and service were EXCELLENT; Umo 10/10: food and service were also great, highly recommend! Food at the pool was also ok (5/10). A few of the downfalls for this resort: 1) the pacific side is much windier during this time of year (we traveled in April), so it gets pretty windy at the pools and they are not able to open the umbrellas because of this. 2) For the resort only being about 7 yrs old, the rooms are pretty weathered. We stayed in a Jr. Suite, the grout in the bathroom is extremely dirty and it just gave that not so clean feeling. 3) the property is pretty big and they do offer a variety of entertainment throughout the day. We stayed for 5 days and every day there was inconsistency with their entertainment schedule provided via tablet in-room. Overall it was a good stay (6/10)"
