Lovely location for a walking break - we appreciated use of the pub car park before check-in/after check-out. Would stay here again in future.”

“An excellent property, very homely, cosy and welcoming. Would definitely return. Found laundry basket, spare mattress covers and oven gloves in main bedroom. Not a great problem at all, but think these items were inadvertently left at the changeover clean. But this is not an important criticism - the property was wonderful.”

“I have never had such good sleep outside my home. We had an excellent experience here. The location is perfect, and the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive throughout our stay. Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the essentials. We’ll definitely be returning on our next trip to Sheffield and highly recommend it to others. We had a top tier stay and were honestly blown away, everything exceeded our expectations.”

“Location was excellent for walks, Castleton centre, pubs & restaurants. The cottage is very small but fine for two people & a dog. The log burner is great but no wood or matches are provided. The little kitchen area has everything you need although there isn’t any space for prepping food. The stairs are very steep. The bed is extremely comfortable & we slept really well. Both the bedroom & bathroom are great, although there is a step up to the shower which is quite precarious. The cottage was……

“The room was clean, Staff excellent, Bar fully stocked, Wifi good. Room was very small 10foot wide 20foot long, bed very soft, no good for people with back problems. Advertised as B&B cleaner had to get manager in to do breakfast which was basically a bacon sandwich. No breakfast the following day even though it was the chef who let us out of building!”

“The staff were very welcoming and helpful. I was offered tea brought to my room on arrival. The bar was closed for one night of my stay, but I was advised the day beforehand. That wasn’t an issue at all. The location was great. Lovely local areas. Plenty of cafes and restaurants and walks nearby. Bus stop direct to the station right outside the hotel a real bonus! My room was light and comfortable. The shower base was not draining well and it did smell a bit. A lady cleaner had noted this as……
