Deceptive Listing, Bad Host (Stay Unique), Sewage Smell and Noise
The VRBO listing specifically says that "ALL costs are included" and that there are "NO TAXES." The minute you book (and you think you have already paid), Stay Unique (the property management company) threatens to cancel the booking in 48 hrs if you do not pay the 1. "The full amount" AND "city taxes." I pointed out that the VRBO listing indicates that ALL charges are included. Stay Unique would not move on the 5 Euros/day/person "city tax." VRBO was also completely useless in resolving this. We were forced to pay it.
Arriving at the property was an escape room procedure where floor of the apartment is not given and the doors are identified (we found out later) on the ceiling of the building.
Once there, there was construction, pounding, hammering and drilling. Stay Unique would not provide any compensation saying they had no control over it. The listing did not indicate construction noise.
The kitchen and rooms are tiny, few functional kitchen pans, utensils etc. There is a strong ubiquitous sewage smell and noise.
The listing is false, the property manager is completely inflexible, and VRBO is absolutely useless. We are no longer using VRBO.
