It started to go downhill when the host reached out to me to ask me if I was keeping a party after clearly stating that I wasn’t when I arrive to the property I use the kitchen and the smoke detector went off. "I found Christie Mill Inn & Spa while searching online for a pet-friendly place to stay, and I'm so glad I did! This little inn is absolutely charming and ended up being the perfect getaway for us. The restaurant was a wonderful surprise. The food was far better than we expected, and every meal was delicious. The staff truly made our stay special. Owen was amazing! He helped us with the canoes, peddle boats, and paddle boards, and he regularly checked in to make sure we were having a great time and had everything we needed. His friendly attitude really stood out. The woman at the front desk (I'm so sorry I forgot her name!) was also incredibly kind, patient, and helpful. She answered all of my questions and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. One thing to note is that there are quite a few geese around the property, so there was some goose poop on parts of the beach and grassy areas. As someone who is used to being around animals, it really wasn't a big deal—we simply worked around it and still enjoyed everything the property had to offer. Overall, this place was exactly what we were looking for. It was relaxing, pet-friendly, and offered so many fun activities. We can't wait to come back for another stay, enjoy the restaurant again, and spend more time on the water. Highly recommend Christie Mill Inn & Spa!"

"room was clean and spacious. bathroom is a good size/clean but could need some updating. still using old ac units that works well. not fancy hotel but comfortable enough to hang out in for indoor stay. breakfast buffet was nice and well stocked. would have been great to have a much bigger space as it was pretty tight to get around the tables once it was full of people."
