“We had an amazing stay! When we walked in, the house was spotless and so inviting, with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Our host was the definition of hospitality, going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. We loved hiking The Channels and attending the MLB Speedway Classic, even though the game got rained out the first time. A special thanks for the delicious chocolate cake and the thoughtful Bristol Motor Speedway bag. We can’t wait to come back!”

“very clean and quaint! The cottage had everything you could possibly need and was well stocked with supplies . We did use the washing machine and it did not spin clothes very well. We had to hand wring them before drying. It was the retreat we were looking for. ”

“Cute cabin! Cute cows as neighbors, too! We enjoyed our stay. We ended up bringing an extra person and had plenty of room to add a twin air mattress to the loft. The back yard is very sloped so if you bring a dog, keep that in mind. There is plenty of room to walk dogs below the houses on the flatter grass. There is parking for two cars, but one spot is also very sloped. Definitely a repeat stay if we are back in the area. The host was very responsive! ”

“This cabin was the perfect size for our family of four. We were in town for the New River Trail races (I ran the 50k) and we enjoyed the map of the trail on the dining table. The kitchen was stocked and the snacks and K cups were appreciated. There is a trail down to the river (not for those with limited mobility) and it was a fun adventure finding the markers in the trees. “Tucked just off the main road, Lil Blue is located just a less than 30 minute drive to the Bristol area and minutes away from Abingdon. We enjoyed the Bristol Caverns, Appalachian Caverns and Backyard Terror and Dinosaurs one day of our stay. Then as we drove home, various locations of The Virginia Creeper Trail. The house was stocked with plenty of essentials. The location is pretty quiet, inviting and relaxing; we enjoyed morning coffee on the back porch. The owners have a great personality,……

Everything was very clean, and we were impressed by the extras that were provided - hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, dishwasher pods, shampoo/conditioner, olive oil, salt/pepper in grinders, and a collection of spices. There was an excellent selection of dishes and cookware. This was a rustic, cozy cabin with high end finishes and details. You will not regret staying here!”
