「Location was good. Check in process was easy. The beds were comfortable.
I don’t prefer to degrade but I also want to be honest though. The room was falling apart. There is obvious water damage. Drywall was falling off walls and ceilings. Several old patches. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling. The bed and bathroom were mostly clean, but the carpet was full of hair and probably hadn’t been cleaned in a while. There were several spider webs on the walls and stains on part of the comforters....

「This is obviously a budget hotel now. The house itself was once a very grand house and it has a fascinating history for sure. The views are good and our room was basic and clean, as well as warm. 「DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. The phone number listed is out of service and there is NO WAY to contact anyone at this property, as it is managed by a third party. 「The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. The lodge is situated between 2 other properties and would benefit ( I’m my opinion) with blinds on all lower windows.
