“DO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY. The phone number listed is out of service and there is NO WAY to contact anyone at this property, as it is managed by a third party. I booked 2 nights, tried to get ahold of someone to give us keys and instructions on how to check in and the phone number doesn't work. I contacted the property through Expedia and the management company got back to me 36 hours later. In the meantime, we had to drive 40 minutes out of Inverness to even find a hotel for the first night and……

“We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. “We didn't see a soul. Check in was using a safe box to collect the key. Check out was dropping the key into a safe box. Room was clean and pleasant though and we had everything we needed.”

“The best B & B I’ve stayed in. The host Helen is absolutely lovely, and fixes an amazing breakfast. The room was charming, well decorated, and had amenities such as body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer. Tea, water and a couple snacks were also provided in the room. “Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars. Grote kamers. Zeer lekker gegeten in het restaurant. Ook privéparking aanwezig. Enig minpuntje is de verduistering van de ramen met horizontale lamellen = steeds licht in de kamer, onmogelijk om volledig donker te maken. Bij het lekkere ontbijt ontbreekt het aan verse broodjes en kaas en ham. Algemeen geeft het hotel een verouderde indruk en zou een volledige opfrisbeurt kunnen gebruiken. Maar de vriendelijkheid van de eigenaars en het lekkere eten……

“The lodge is beautiful in very peaceful area, it was very clean with everything we needed. We used it mainly for a base as we were traveling so only really slept there. “The gardens were lovely and there was a path down to the beach. We were lucky to have a gorgeous summer evening. The bar room was terrific, very nice bartender who was there late. We had a room for 3 people which had a small extra room for the extra bed, big bathroom. Highly recommend!”
